On August 15th, 2020, the cricket world was shocked to hear about the retirement of legend captain, MS Dhoni.

He had a legendary career and will forever go down as the savior for Indian Cricket and the greatest of all time. However, his career almost didn’t happen.

MS Dhoni worked as a ticket collector for his local railway to please his father and let cricket become a lingering “what-if” in his life. This was until Dhoni became depressed at work and told his father the only passion he has in life is to play professional cricket.

He began playing in tournaments in India and started to devote his entire life to cricket. After some great appearances, Dhoni’s starting to gain public attraction and ultimately gets selected by the India National team.

He set his legacy in stone during the World Cup Final when he came up the order and promoted himself to bat before Yuvraj Singh.  He guided India to their first World Cup in 28 years, and the rest was history.

MS Dhoni is highly regarded today as the most successful captain in history while also leading India to a Number 1 ranking.

After taking India to a World Cup final and winning its first World cup in 28 years, MS Dhoni will go down as the heart and soul of India Cricket and a legend to all.

Thank you for a fantastic career, MS Dhoni. Enjoy your retirement, and thank you for always keeping the heart pumping for India Cricket. You’ve changed the game of cricket forever.
